Research shows that parents establish an opinion of a school within minutes of walking in. From that moment, they are actively looking for things that back up that original opinion. This means that the initial impact you make is vital to them seeing all the other good things that you do.

With budgets being cut in all areas of education, it may feel that spending money on art within the school is not the right thing to do. But not only does providing a vibrant environment make for a pleasant working environment for staff, but what it provides for children is important and invaluable in shaping thoughtful members of society. Murals can be used to:

Create a memorable entrance, library, hall or other public area
Add instructions or directions in a creative way
Make decorative reminders of school rules or mission statements
Encourage participation and inclusion by allowing the students to play an active role in the design and painting of a mural

Charlotte Designs are experienced in creating educational and informative pieces of art, working to high standards and tight budgets and timescales. Our designer, Sarah Hodgkins, is CRB cleared to enhanced level and can help to involve the children in the design and production of the mural if desired and appropriate.

School Art Day

Any school booking a mural with Charlotte Designs will qualify for our incentive scheme. Provided the mural is painted before Easter 2012, the school with receive £40 cash back for every parent, who has a mural painted by Charlotte Designs.
