How much does it cost?
We pride ourselves on being able to work within most budgets. We can tailor our designs to suit the room and the pocket of our customers. So the cost very much depends on what you want to spend and the finished design for the room. A simple mural can be as little as £125 and a full room with furniture and carpets can be as much as £5,000. We have created many spectacular rooms for around £500-£1000 so there is always something for everyone. If you would like to obtain an estimate for a planned project, please use our price guide or contact us for further information.

Yes, of course we can. We work with our customers and if you want to do (or have already done) some of the work yourself, it is no problem.

I am in rented accommodation; can you do something I can take with me when I leave?
Yes. We can paint onto furniture and canvases that can be moved. We can create the room around accessories and soft furnishings that can be re-created anywhere. Anything is possible.

Do I have to use your people to do the work?
No. If you have decorators or carpet fitters, any tradesmen that you want to continue to use, we will work with them.

How long will it take?
It does depend on what you are having done. Most furniture has an 8-12 week lead time and we can do just about anything else during that time so that the room is finished when the furniture arrives. If you do not need furniture, we can normally complete a room in 4-8 weeks from initial consultation. (Although our record is one week!) But it depends on the complexity of the design and of course how busy we are!

What is a Colourboard?
A colourboard is a way of showing you what they intend to do with your room. In short, it is fabric and carpet swatches, paint colours, pictures of furniture, lighting and accessories. It usually includes a room plan and drawings of murals and curtains.
Charlotte Designs creates colourboards that reflect the design of the room and they have been described as works of art in their own right. A good way of keeping children happy until the actual room is completed!
I am a school or nursery and want to get our children involved in the design of the room?
Charlotte Designs designer Sarah Hodgkins has CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) clearance to work with children. She can hold workshops with your pupils and get them to be involved in the design of the spaces that they will be using. Their thoughts and ideas can then be translated into an interior that will work for your school and your budget. She can usually get the children involved in the actual painting too!
