About Sarah Hodgkins - founder of Charlotte Designs

Charlotte Designs was founded by Sarah Hodgkins, an Interior Designer with over 20 years experience of designing everything from hotels and offices to rural cottages and warehouse developments. “It wasn’t until I had children of my own that I realised the importance of creating the right environment for children to flourish in. My children’s surroundings are extremely important to me, wherever they are. I want their imaginations to be fed and somewhere they can be themselves. You are only a child once, and those memories last forever. Why not make them as beautiful as you can?”

After the birth of her second child, Sarah set up Charlotte Designs to meet the ever increasing interest in creating interiors where children want to be. “I want to make it easy for parents to get what they want and what their child deserves. The fact I am a mural artist and Mum with an interior design background, enables me to offer a unique service.”

The company now undertakes a wide variety of work, including mainstream interior design work, whilst continuing to specialise in interior design and mural work for children’s spaces, for homes, schools, nurseries and leisure centres.

Sarah now runs Charlotte Designs and looks after her family, juggling the demands of both like so many working Mum's. She also runs local groups of Women in Business Network, a ladies networking groups, which offer training and support to similar female entrepreneurs.
